Driver Safety Programs for Your Organization

We have developed a very informative and beneficial defensive driving program designed for transportation departments such as yours.
For your convenience, these training presentations can be scheduled in the least intrusive manner possible, so as not to hinder the overall operations of your transportation department. They can be scheduled during normal business hours, during the evenings, or even on weekends as necessary.
Much diligence will be used to ensure that our program will be customized to suit the specific needs of your organization. Your tailor-made program will be specialized to your unique needs. It is not a generalized training template that can be used from one organization to another.
- General driving safety (particularly as it relates to your driving purposes)
- Driving and vehicle equipment laws
- Driving in adverse weather conditions
- Defensive driving tips
- Rules for safe backing
- What to do if you become involved in an accident
- Being a good witness
- Common driving distractions, and how to avoid them
- How to conduct a motor vehicle safety inspection
- Reporting maintenance, service or safety-related issues
- Driver professionalism
- What if you have to park in an unfamiliar or threatening area?
- Protect yourself and your passengers from becoming victims of road rage
- Understanding the safety equipment in your vehicle
Again, this list is not meant to be all-inclusive. You have the opportunity to delete any of these suggested topics, and add others as you deem appropriate. The goal is for us to deliver the most effective, comprehensive safe-driving package available to your drivers.
If you choose to, testing procedures can be implemented to ensure all attendees are actively participating and are learning the materials covered. We will also make ourselves available to conduct any remedial or one-on-one training with particular employees or groups of employees if you feel such a need develops.
After developing an adequate understanding of accident-related issues involving your transportation department, those specific issues would be addressed in detail during our presentations in hopes of eliminating the problem.
We have experience working in both non-union and collective bargaining environments, and have a very good understanding of the uniqueness of both.
